Insure to the Right Value

Rebuild dollars, not just premium dollars.

We don’t “win” quotes by underinsuring your home. We can’t guarantee any rebuild cost, but we do our absolute best to insure your home to a proper value using reputable replacement-cost estimators, current labor/material trends, and what we learn about your finishes and features.

Why it matters

Underinsuring can mean painful out-of-pocket costs and delays after a loss. The cheapest policy is expensive the day you need to rebuild.

How we estimate

Room-by-room details, square footage, roof type, exterior walls, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and unique features feed a professional RCE model—not a guess.

Protection against inflation

We consider inflation guard and extended replacement cost endorsements where available, plus Ordinance & Law coverage for code upgrades.

What we won’t do

We won’t drop Coverage A just to “get a deal.” Our job is to help you recover—proper limits come first, then we optimize deductibles/credits.

Why Coverage Matters

Price without the right coverage is expensive the day you need it.

Below are the decisions that most affect Florida homeowners. We’ll map each one to your home, budget, and risk tolerance.

Hurricane vs. AOP Deductibles

Different perils trigger different deductibles. We’ll set them intentionally so a storm doesn’t create two bad surprises.

Ordinance & Law (25%/50%)

Pays to bring your home up to current code after a covered loss—crucial for major rebuilds.

Water Backup ≠ Flood

Backups need a specific endorsement. Flood is separate—we can add NFIP or private flood alongside your home policy.

Screen Enclosures & Pool Cages

Often limited or excluded. We’ll show options to extend coverage so outdoor spaces are protected.

Replacement Cost on Contents

Avoid garage-sale valuations. Replacement cost helps make your belongings whole.

Liability & Umbrella

Protect savings and future income. We’ll right-size limits and discuss attractive nuisances (pools, pets, trampolines).

How We Shop Carriers

Methodical, not random — we place you where the fit is strongest.

1) Underwriting Fit

Roof age/condition, opening protection, location, construction. We start where eligibility is strongest to avoid dead-end quotes.

2) Coverage Match

We prioritize carriers that allow the coverage you actually want (Ordinance & Law %, Water Backup, special structures, liability).

3) Stability & Service

Financial strength, claim responsiveness, and renewal behavior matter. We weigh these with you.

4) Price You Can Live With

Once the fit is right, we optimize deductibles and credits for a fair rate.

5) Clear Comparison

You’ll see a side-by-side that explains trade-offs in plain English so you can choose with confidence.

How Florida carriers price risk
  • Roof age/condition and opening protection (impact glass or approved shutters)
  • Wind zone / distance to coast and construction type
  • Prior claims and recent updates to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and roof
  • Coverage selections (deductibles, Ordinance & Law %, Water Backup)
Why we ask for inspections and documents

Verified features unlock credits and ensure accurate quotes. A Wind Mitigation (OIR-B1-1802) and, for older homes, a 4-Point inspection document roof, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Your current Declarations Page helps us compare apples-to-apples and spot gaps to fix.

Coverage glossary (plain English)
  • Hurricane deductible: Applies to named storms only; set with intent.
  • AOP deductible: Everything else (fire, theft, water damage, etc.).
  • Ordinance & Law: Funds code upgrades after a covered loss.
  • Water Backup: Covers backups from sewers/sumps (not flood).
  • Replacement Cost on Contents: Replaces items at new price.
How we advocate at claim time

We help document damage, coordinate with adjusters, and explain coverage so you’re not navigating a stressful moment alone. Our goal: timely, accurate settlement with minimal back-and-forth.

FAQs

Straight answers to common Florida questions.

Do I need a 4-Point inspection?

Many private carriers require it on older homes to document electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and roof. If needed, we’ll help you arrange one.

How long is a Wind Mitigation report valid?

Typically up to five years if there are no material changes. It’s the #1 driver of wind credits in Florida.

Can you bundle auto for more savings?

Yes—bundling often adds discounts and makes service easier. Tell us if you want us to evaluate auto with your home quote.
